Wish List

Like every non-profit organization, Grant County Animal Outreach relies on our community’s donations to supplement items for the animal’s needs. If you’d like to help out here’s a wish list of GCAO’s most needed items.

Cat and kitten needs: These items are used year round for cats and kittens. Items denoted with an asterisk* are used year round, but are consistently ‘high needs’ items during spring and summer:

  • Dry cat and kitten food**
  • Canned cat and kitten food**
  • KMR milk replacer*
  • Miracle Nipples (for bottle feeding)*
  • Pellet-style kitty litter
  • Clumping-style kitty litter
  • Humaniac Scratch Bricks
  • Postal/food scales (used for weighing kittens)*
  • Snugglesafe Microwave Wireless Heatpad With Fleece Cover*
  • cat/kitten transport crates
  • Cat toys
  • Elevated pet beds (like Kuranda) in various sizes

Dog and puppy needs:

  • Dry dog & puppy food**
  • Canned dog food**
  • Dog toys
  • Pet nursing bottles
  • Dog transport crates (various sizes)
  • Flat of vaccinations
  • Case of microchips
  • Sponsor a kennel

Enrichment needs: These supplies are used to create enrichment items for our animals. Enrichments are treats or puzzles created to break up boredom and keep minds busy. Since they are used daily (we currently strive to provide five enrichments per animal, per day), they are always ‘high needs’ items.

Non-Perishable Items:

  • Apple juice
  • Low sodium chicken broth
  • Creamy peanut butter (without xylitol)
  • Cheez Whiz
  • Canned dog food
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned pumpkin
  • Chews, rawhides, bones, etc.
  • Milk bones, biscuits
  • Graham crackers
  • Applesauce
  • Chicken jerky

Perishable Items (Please notify staff if you have items that need to be refrigerated):

  • Cottage cheese
  • Plain or vanilla yogurt
  • Hot dogs
  • Blocks of cheese or string cheese
  • Non-food Items:
  • Empty paper towel/toilet paper rolls
  • Boxes roughly 2’x2’ or smaller (shoe, pasta, cereal, etc.)
  • Paper bags
  • Paper coffee cups
  • Dixie Cups (any size)
  • Shallow tin baking trays

General shelter and office supplies needs:

  • Pens
  • Black sharpies
  • Double-sided tape (Removable)
  • Kleenex
  • Vinegar
  • Simple Green
  • Duct tape/packing tape
  • Gift cards (Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Petco, PetSmart, Coastal, Walmart, Target, Office Depot, Fred Meyer)
  • Exam gloves (Med/Large)
  • Scotch tape
  • Post-It-Notes
  • Copy paper
  • Batteries (AA/AAA/C/D)
  • Dawn brand dish soap (We prefer Dawn specifically because it’s gentle on animals, including kittens and puppies, when giving baths and helps remove grease- which sadly, many animals arrive with on their fur. We also use it in an early step of kennel cleaning.)
  • Laundry soap
  • Gas cards
  • Postage stamps
  • Bathroom air freshener (non-floral scented)
  • Blankets, towels, washcloths

Please be aware that we DO NOT accept:

  • Cross shredded paper
  • Ink cartridges
  • Pillows
  • Wood dog houses or cages that cannot be sanitized
  • Carpeted cat trees
  • Human clothes

Donated items may be dropped off anytime during our business hours: Monday – Saturday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm every day. Location: 6725 Randolph Road, Moses Lake, Washington.

We are a non profit 501(c)(3) organization as determined by the U.S. Department of Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service. Our federal tax ID number is 20-8911406. Your tax-deductible contribution will be used to offset medical bills and other costs for homeless pets.
